With another wave of arctic air to hit Chicago this weekend, city officials on Thursday urged people to call 311 if anyone needs help, including transportation to warming centers and shelters.
Since November, three people in Chicago have died from hypothermia due to exposure to the cold, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. One of those deaths occurred during the latest cold snap.
